Ajay Patri is an MFA in Fiction candidate at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where he is a Sonny Mehta Fellow. His work has been shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize and the Bristol Short Story Prize and longlisted for a Toto Funds the Arts Award in Creative Writing. He is also the recipient of a fellowship from the South Asia Speaks Foundation.

A qualified lawyer, Ajay has a degree in law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He splits his time between Bangalore and Iowa City.
